Laboratory

The Biogeochemical Laboratory (Department of Prehistory) is directed by Dr. Carlos Tornero and is located within the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The laboratory is fully equipped for the sampling and processing of samples for stable isotope analysis.
The dedicated facilities are managed by the READ research groups and include:

• Facilities for the handling, cutting, and drilling of bone and tooth specimens
• Facilities for collagen extraction and stable isotope analysis (e.g. muffle furnace, microcentrifuges, ultrasonic bath, vortex, Telestar LyoQuest freeze dryer, microbalance XPR6UD5)
